Akshay Kumar: An honour to be punched by Rajinikanth in Endhiran 2.0
Akshay Kumar will soon be seen in a kicking-and-punching role alongside Rajinikanth. The actor has bagged the role of the villain in Rajinikanth-starrer Endhiran 2.0 (Robot 2), the sequel to the highly succesful 2010 Endhiran (Robot). And while his role might require him to punch Rajinikanth, Kumar has said that it would be ‘an honour to be punched by Rajini sir’.
In an interview, Akshay said how opportunities like working with Thalaiva don’t even happen in dreams. “These things don’t come to you even in a dream. He’s a wonderful actor and even more, a wonderful human being. It will be an honour to be punched by Rajini sir. It’s going be a different world for me – the graphics, the action and the adulation that he commands.”
Earlier, when the sequel to Endhiran had been announced, speculations were rife that Hollywood biggie Arnold Schwarzenegger was to play the villain in the film. Akshay Kumar’s response to that was, “I have no idea, I just know that Shankar (director) and some of the others called me and told me they had a film for me.”
