Comet Moth

The Argema mittrei, which is commonly known as the Comet or Moon Moth. It is said to be an endangered species. They can observe themselves in the wild where they belong to. They belong to native of Madagascar. They are world’  largest silk moth and can be bred in custody. The wing span of males are nearly 8 inches and have tail span almost of 6 inches. Adult moth has a life span of 4-5 days and are capable of reproduction from Day 1. They cannot drown as there cocoons with small holes are adapted to the rainforest. They feed on eucalyptus leaves like caterpillar and will turn into lava 2-6 months before emerging from their cocoons as moths.
