Cuban Bee Hummingbird
Cuban Bee Hummingbird is the smallest of all birds. The Bee Hummingbird (Mellisuga helenae) is only about 5 cm (2 inches) in length and weighs about 1.8 grams. The female Hummingbirds are larger than the male and it is only originate on Isle of Pines and in Cuba. Unluckily this beautiful and cute little bird is categorized as Threatened due to reducing figures in more current years. The reduction in Bee Hummingbird populations has been brought about mostly by loss of territory due to harvest farming, timber felling and livestock farming. These forms of human infringement have depressingly crashed on the forests and swamplands that sustain the Bee Hummingbird, causing the bird to be confined to limited suitable habitats.
