DILJIT DOSANJH’S CAREER IN A NUTSHELL

Diljit Dosanjh is a versatile actor, singer, TV presenter and a social media celebrity. He is definitely an asset to the Bollywood industry and plays an active role in Punjabi and Hindi cinema. Diljit is one of the leading artists in the Punjabi music industry and has also made a respectable place for himself in the Hindi film industry. He began his singing career by performing kirtan at local gurdwaras. He entered the industry with his wonderful voice and got recognition in a short span of time.

Dosanjh released his first music album in 2003 and his second music album in 2004. He released various albums and singles till 2010. In 2011, Dosanjh made his mainstream entry in Punjabi movies. Dosanjh collaborated with Yo Yo Honey Singh and released quite a number of songs. In 2006, Diljit made his debut in Hindi cinema through ‘Udta Punjab’. In Sept 2006, he had completed work in his 2 nd Bollywood movie, Phillauri. Diljit also does live performances. He is not just famous in India but is the 2 nd most famous Punjabi artist whose concert tickets went sold out. Diljit also did a short film in 2005. He has associated himself with Coca-Cola. Flipkart had roped in Dosanjh for one of their campaigns for Punjab. Dosanjh was also the brand ambassador of the Pro Kabbadi League Season 4.

Dosanjh started an NGO called ‘Saanjh Foundation’ focusing on underprivileged children and seniors, contributing to orphanages and old age homes. He founded it in 2013 on his birthday 6 th Jan. Currently, Dosanjh has played a lead role in the Hindi movie ‘Soorma’ with Tapsee Pannu which is scheduled to be released on 29 th June, 2018.
