India is not just known for it’s BIG FAT WEDDINGS but also the colorful and glittery bright festivals..
As the Diwali madness gets over us there was the most talked about Big B’s Diwali Bash and also The President of The United States took our hearts away by celebrating Diwali at his Oval Office in White House.
Do you remember Christine – The Denmark Bhangra Queen, she wrote us in a mail today morning as to how she celebrated Diwali and how much she loved enjoying it..
She writes, ” Diwali is not really known here in Denmark. Especially where I live since there are not many Indian people living here.
Since I love Punjabi food I made both of them cook for me yesterday and it was yummy!! (Just see the pictures). To give it a little extra feeling of Diwali my friend had found some Indian sweets in a small local shop which we enjoy with some chai.
After the great lunch we went out to watch the movie “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil”. Great movie. Perfect way to celebrate Diwali.
It was a typical danish way to celebrate Diwali: Calm and cozy, which is the perfect description of danish people and our culture. So let’s call the day a cross-cultural Diwali 😀
