Actors Rashami Desai and Adhivk Mahajan are on cloud nine for receiving such a positive response for their recent short film, Tamas. Their fresh first time pairing was too appreciated critically. Recently, we got in touch with the much talented artists to know about their characters and about their first time pairing. Take a quick read here:
Tell us something about your character?
Adhvik- My character’s name is Rishi, a troubled guy who, during tough trying times in the lockdown, gets support from a lovely girl. Saina and how their relationship and bonding develops and ultimately reach their conclusion. It’s based on the backdrop of Religious Discrimination and our biased approach towards certain weaker sections of our society.
Rashami- I play the character of Saina. She is quite simple, sweet, and innocent. During the tough times of the lockdown, she supports the male character Rishi and, the story builds up from there.
How was the experience shooting with your costar since it was your first time pairing?
Adhvik- When I approached Rashami with the script, it was very kind of her to trust me and to trust the project was really a big deal as this is my first time in direction and writing. She has done things way better than I thought. She has given a personal touch to the character with her innocence. And I still thank God that I got Rashami for this character. I always knew how amazing she is as a person but after working with her I know what a tremendous actor she is. It’s been a wonderful experience working with her.
Rashami- We have never shared a screen before but honestly, I feel he is a very good writer and DOP because I saw my shot and without any equipment, he has taken it and the quality is amazing. For the production also he has worked very hard and he has made this entire film for good cause and really like the beautiful thought behind it. My best wishes to Adhvik. For the first time, we are working together in his production. May he keep coming up with such great ideas.
