“Chocolate,” this is one thing…which is never hated by anyone in the world! We all crave for chocolate as soon as we hear its name or see it somewhere. The world’s favorite luxury foodstuff is never denied by anyone. But did you know that there are some really weird and unexpected uses for chocolate…Let’s see what are they!
As a form of exchange: The Mayans (who are thought to have first discovered chocolate) used cocoa beans as a form of exchange.
Fake Blood: Bosco chocolate syrup claims its product was used as blood in the shower scene of Alfred Hitchcock’s 1960 horror classic Psycho.
Toothpaste: While dentists say chocolate rots your teeth, Theodent toothpaste uses cocoa beans as an alternative to fluoride — so you can swallow as much as you want.
As a slide: Ya this true!! The people behind the YouTube channel Bangakang used 52 gallons of chocolate syrup and 200 yards of plastic sheeting to enjoy a choco slide. Uggghhhh….It hurts!
As Spa Treatments: Chocolate contains antioxidants that are good for the skin. Hershey – recent newcomer to the organic market – has a hotel where you can indulge in cocoa-rich treatments ranging from chocolate milk baths and a cocoa bean polish to the hour-long chocolate fondue wrap.
Postage: Yes…Postage! In March 2013, Belgium’s post office Bpost started selling limited-edition stamps that smell and taste like chocolate, in honor of the country’s renowned chocolatiers. The varnish of the stamps contained 40% of a cocoa product.
