Lingaa case: Petitioner demands original script of Rajinikanth’s film

K R Ravi Rathinam, who has filed a case against the makers of Lingaa alleging that they have plagiarised his script, has now filed a petition seeking the original script of the Rajinikanth-starrer, according to a report published in The Hindu.

Ravi Rathinam, his counsel, and all the four defendants including superstar Rajinikanth were present at the Additional Munsif Court in Chennai, where the case is currently being tried.

The report further said that the judge has postponed the hearing to Wednesday, and has asked the defendants to respond to the plea.

In 2014, during the release of Lingaa, K R Ravi Rathinam filed a case against the makers of Lingaa in Madras High Court. He accused the makers of copying his script of Mullai Vanam 999 and adopting it for the Rajinikanth-starrer.
