Macaroni Fruit Pudding

Macaroni Fruit Pudding is an amazingly unique mixture of boiled macaroni, dry nuts and. This healthy pudding method is entirely flavored with milk, butter and golden syrup.

Ingredients:

  • 6 oz short chopped macaroni
  • Water
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 pint milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp golden syrup
  • 2 oz currants or kishmish
  • 2 oz sultanas
  • 1 oz butter
  • Grated nutmeg or jaiphal

Method:

  • Firstly take water in bowl and boil the macaroni with salt for 5-7 minutes.
  • Now drain and return to pan.
  • Add the milk in the mixture, bring it to the boil and mixing it all the time.
  • Now remove it from heat and stir in beaten egg and the syrup.
  • Add the cleaned fruit and the butter and mix it well.
  • Pour into a buttered pie-dish, grate nutmeg over.
  • Cook it in moderate oven for at least 30 minutes.
