Makers of Rajinikanth starrer ‘Kabali’ launches the movie’s app.
As the dates of the Rajinikanth starrer Kabali is pushed by more two weeks, the makers of the movie have launched a Kabali app for Rajini’s fan, who are patiently waiting for his new film. They can now get all first-hand information through the Kabali app. In a first-of-its-kind initiative in southern cinema, the makers of Kabali have unveiled an official app, through which users can even participate in contests and win exclusive movie merchandise.
According to the team, the app is a one-stop solution for Kabali fans. Instead of searching for film-related content on the internet, now everything has been streamlined into the app. From official posters to teasers to latest news from the film, everything will be made available at fingertips. Fans can also participate in Kabali fan art week on week and stand a chance to win exclusive prizes.
Kabali has been already booked for Rs 200 crore. It will be shown in around 5000 screens around the world. For the first time ever, an Indian film will be dubbed in Malay, Chinese and Thai. The film is also breaking ground in Indonesia.
The film’s producer Kalaipuli Thanu, who gave Rajinikanth the “superstar” title in the Eighties, said: “Believe it or not, in the US alone 500 screens would show the movie. It’s normally impossible. We have achieved it.”
Kabali’s promotions too will literally scale new heights. A few Air Asia planes will be painted around the Kabali theme. At low altitudes, these will draw eye balls. Onboard passengers will be served a special Kabali menu.
Actress Radhika Apte is the film’s leading lady and Taiwanese superstar Winston Chao will play the role of antagonist. The film is scheduled to release in July.
