Monday Is lucky For Shamanta
TV actress Shamanta Anchan thinks that Monday is a lucky day for her as on this day she got a chance to work with the popular filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker.
Shamanta is currently seen in Star Plus new show, “Everest” playing the lead role. She thinks that there would not be anything better for her than getting a start like this in her acting carrier. In the show she is playing the character of Anjali who struggles a lot to climb Mt. Everest to fulfill her father’s dream and get his love.
Ashutosh said, “It took me a long time to put together this ensemble cast as I had a very clear vision of how I want each role to be portrayed. My search for Anjali was the longest, but I am happy to say that Shamata and the entire cast have done complete justice to the multi-layered roles they were chosen to play.”
Shamanta said, “It is weirdly true that I believe Monday is lucky for me as I got a call to audition for ‘Everest’ on a Monday. I went for the audition on a Monday. The day I was chosen for the show was a Monday and I also started shooting for the show on my lucky day. I also fast on Mondays so I guess it is a special day for me”. “In fact, what is even stranger is that Ashutosh Sir’s name means Shiva and Monday is symbolic of Lord Shiva!“.
The series is directed by Glenn Baretto and Ankush Mohla. Produced by Ashutosh Gowariker Productions Private Limited (AGPPL). Ashutosh’s debut as a producer on TV. It is also the television debut of A.R.Rehman as a music composer on the small screen. The story is written by Mitali Mahajan and Ashutosh Gowariker himself.
