Radhika Apte’s leaked nude viral video: Anurag Kashyap slams media

Director Anurag Kashyap who has directed the Badlapur actress in a Hollywood short film says that media is also to blame in the entire episode.

Few days ago, Radhika Apte’s nude clip got leaked where she is seen lifting her dress to expose her lower private part to a man standing in front of her has went viral. The clip is from a short film directed by Anurag Kashyap called Prada. The 20 minutes short film is part of a Hollywood film which won’t be released in India.

The filmmaker has promptly filed an FIR with the cyber cell as his video leak is a serious case of cyber crime. He hasn’t stopped at that as he is still quite upset about the leak. But Kashyap isn’t just angry with the criminals who have leaked this video, he is also equally upset with the irresponsible journalism which this video leak followed.

In the meanwhile, there were allegations that the leak was a ‘promotional stint’ on the part of the people associated with the film. This led to the Gangs of Wasseypur director lashing out against these ‘sick minds’ and ‘sick media’ on Twitter.

Anurag kashyap tweeted:

@anuragkashyap72

– Media portals are worst than the perverts of Social Media. Only a sick mind can suggest that video leak is for promotion.

@anuragkashyap72

– For the record the film is delivered and leak is from NY and the producers office in NY is investigating it and so is Crime Branch.

@anuragkashyap72

– And soon we will have the culprit.. Sick media and sick minds..

Speaking to a leading daily, Kashyap had clarified the whole issue. When de-contextualised, the director had said, the video caused people to make jokes about it. “You try to take a step forward as a filmmaker, they take you five steps back. And she (Radhika Apte) feels victimised and I feel responsible. I called up our police commissioner Rakesh Maria as soon as I came to know of it and he immediately acted upon it. He immediately called ACP crime branch Mr Prasanna and he had put the cyber crime branch to work on it on priority.”
