Rajinikanth’s ‘Kabali’ gets its own AirAsia flight for promotion!
The makers of Rajinikanth starrer ‘Kabali’ have choosen a very huge and unique way to promote their flick. The movie which is about to release this 15th of July has garnered enough buzz…and why not it’s Rajini!!
The movie’s official PR partners – Malaysian airlines AirAsia has teamed up with Kabali. The flight will take fans from Bangalore to Chennai in a flight with Rajini-themed interiors and exteriors. And by that, we mean plenty of Rajini posters, a special menu and a gigantic Kabali poster on the sides of the plane. Since the film’s hit song Nerupuda literally means ‘on fire’, lighting effects have been appropriately arranged to look like glowing embers.
As per reports, a single person will pay 7,860 rupees ($116; £79) to fly from Bangalore to Chennai to watch the “first day, first show” of the film at a Chennai theatre, pick up movie merchandise and return home after lunch.
AirAsia India, the official airline partner of superstar Rajinikanth’s “Kabali”, spent over a month in designing the livery in Rajini style. In the film, Rajinikanth flies Air Asia in a few important scenes.
