Serial review for the week
1. Comedy Nights With Kapil on Colors TV: It was a musical weekend on Comedy Nights With kapil with guests like Sukhwinder Singh, Kanika Kapoor, Meet Bros Anjjan, Tochi Raina, Neeti Mohan on the Saturday episode and Alka Yagnik and Kumar Sanu on the Sunday episode. The Saturday episode started with Kapil playing the drums and Dadi, Palak, Bua and Raju dancing on stage and dressed in pink and colorful costumes with lots of make-up on the ‘Balam Pichkari’ song indicating it was going to be a musical night. Bittu becomes the host of a fictional award show and proceeds to introduce guests in that manner. He introducs Tochi Raina as he sings his famous ‘Iktara’ song that he had earlier sung for the movie ‘Wake Up Sid’. Next appears the ‘Baby doll’ team – Kanika, Meet Bros Anjjan. Dadi as ‘Tedhi Gaga’ (spoof on Lady Gaga) was hilarious to say the least. Next day on the show had legendary singers Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik. They floored the audience from the word go with their singing ‘Ladki Badi Anjaani Hain’ from the movie ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hain’. There were some hilarious moments with Mrs Sharma speaking in Bengali with the guests and the guests trying to teach singing to Mrs Sharma and Bittu. Sidhu paaji did not have anything much to do other than laughing his way to glory. Overall, a fun filled episode.
2. Devon Ke Dev Mahadev on Life OK: This amazing show on Life OK channel does not seem to suffer a case of a bad episode and continues to enchant and enthrall it’s audience. This week on the show we saw Banasur warning Krishna not to fight against Mahadev and Krishna finding it difficult to fight against Mahadev as he considers himself, his devotee. Mahadev makes Krishna realise that he has committed to protect Banasur. Krishna obeys Mahadev’s advice, and fights against him in the battle field. The deities worry about the impact of the war. Krishna pays his gratitude to Mahadev. On Mahadev’s insistence, Krishna uses his astra to attack him. Mahadev suffers by the effect of the same. Now what is to be seen is if Krishna would kill Banasur in the war?
3. Diya Aur Baati Hum on Star Plus: This show on Star Plus started off on a very interesting note and remained popular with it’s audience. Now, it seems like the makers have run out of ideas and are churning one episode after another without any clear purpose. Anyway, this week on the show we saw Santosh noticing the lipstick mark on Sooraj’s cheek and Sooraj getting shocked on seeing the same. Mohit tricks Sooraj into speaking to Sandhya about his parlour. Chhavi lies to her mother in-law about her whereabouts. She has an argument with another customer, in a shop. Sooraj meets Sandhya, and requests her to help Mohit in reopening his parlour. Sandhya informs Sooraj that she will not be able to help Mohit and Emily. Sooraj misunderstands Sandhya. What’s to be seen is if Sooraj would understand Sandhya’s situation? Also, we hope the makers bring in some interesting twists and turns to make the show more interesting.
