Shruti Haasan to romance Pawan Kalyan in SJ Suryah’s film
After pairing together in 2012 Telugu blockbuster Gabbar Singh, actors Shruti Haasan and Pawan Kalyan have teamed up for the second time in the yet-untitled film.
The upcoming film will be the official remake of Ajith’s superhit film Veeram, which was directed by Siruthai Siva. In an official statement, the makers confirmed that Shruti is excited to be part of the project.
Director-actor SJ Suryah will helm the Telugu remake, which is all set to go on floors in June.
Veeram tells the story of a hot-headed village bigshot and his brothers. It was well-received by the audience despite the mixed reviews it garnered from the critics. The success of Veeram made Ajith join hands with Siva for the second time for the film Vedalam.
Currently, Shruti Haasan is busy shooting for her father’s film Sabash Naidu. She will be seen as the daughter of Ulaganayagan in the film as well. The actor on finishing the multi-lingual film will join the sets of the Pawan Kalyan-starrer.
Anup Rubens has been roped in to compose the tunes for the film, which will be produced under Northstar Entertainment.
