Sunny Leone Not Allowed to Promote her Films on TV Channels?
Kuch Kuch Locha Hain actress Sunny Leone is facing promotional troubles as Hindi General Entertainment Channel’s (GEC’s) don’t want her on their shows. Being a porn star, it was never an easy feat to create a name in B-town.
In spite of doing so many films like Jism 2, Ragini MMS 2, Hate Story 2 and Ek Paheli Leela the actress is still considered as an adult entertainer and nothing more. The proof of this came across when GEC refused to let the actor promote her upcoming film with Ram Kapoor on daily soaps.
A source informs that, “While most movies are promoted on Hindi GECSs they are not willing to promote anything erotic on family channels. Well the condition seems a little absurd, considering all her previous films were promoted on all the Hindi GECs, then what changed now? When she was only a porn star, channels used her to up their numbers and suddenly Leone is too much for these family TV channels, what hypocrites.”
Apparently, the channels claim that they don’t have any shows which can accommodate Sunny Leone. The duo recently promoted the film at a mall in the suburbs of Mumbai. Sunny Leone and Ram Kapoor were joined by Debutant Navdeep Chchabra and Shraddha Pandit, who sang hit numbers from the movie.
However, this isn’t the first time that the beautiful lady drew flak for her past profession. There were reports of Kapil Sharma refusing to shoot episode with Leone on “Comedy Nights With Kapil”. The differences were ironed out when he brought Ekta Kapoor and “Ragini MMS 2” together on the show.
More recently, Rakhi Sawant reportedly made a controversial comment by saying she has achieved heights by doing reality shows and item numbers, not porn films like Leone. Turns out, such vile statements do not affect the star a bit.
“People write all sort of crazy stories about me. I mean, every single day there’s some crazy story about me. If I had started worrying about them, I would have probably packed my bags and left for the US already,” she told in an interview.
In other news, Leone has Devang Dholakia’s “Kuch Kuch Locha Hai” lined up for release. She will also be seen in Milap Zaveri’s “Mastizaade” alongside Tusshar Kapoor and Vir Das.
