Vila Franca’s Islet, Azores Archipelago, Portugal
Vila Franca’s Islet is located in the middle of the Atlantic. The Azores archipelago includes of nine islands stretch over three groups. The volcanoes that are the reason for birth of these islands also produced minor islets. Perhaps the most renowned of these little creations is the Islet of Vila Franca do Campo is the major and most crowded island in the archipelago. It is named as past the city of Vila Franca do Campo, the ex- capital of São Miguel, which lies across from the islet.
The Islet of Vila Franca do Campo is shaped by the hole of an aged underwater volcano. The islet which is currently categorize as a nature distance is one of São Miguel’s key tourist attractions, mainly since an event in the Red Bull Cliff Diving world championship was believed here.
